Bishop Lucia to celebrate Mass for Life and Holy Hour Prior to
March for Life
Syracuse, New York `-- Bishop Douglas J. Luciawill celebrate a Mass for Life and Holy Hour at theCathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Downtown Syracuse on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Mass will begin at 9:30am followed by
a Holy Hour at 10:30am. The Syracuse March for Life, sponsored by Syracuse Right to Life, will begin at 12:00pm, starting at the MOST in Armory Square. At the conclusion of the March, Chick-fil-A will be provided to all participants!
Families and youth groups from around the diocese will be in attendance. All are welcome to participate in the Mass, Holy Hour and the March for Life.
"Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade, our diocesan efforts have turned to praying for life, marching for the protection of life, and supporting moms and their babies, in an even greater way, at the local level,' states Lisa Hall, Diocesan Director of the Office of Family/Respect Life. 'In the Syracuse Diocese , we coordinate efforts to offer a Mass and a Holy Hour prior to the Syracuse March for Life to put us in a proper disposition, thanking God for his gift of life and encouraging us to live out our faith in the public square."
