Pilgrimage for Life - January

January 2022

Join us and people from across the country at the March for Life in Washington, D.C.!

This event is a 3-day pilgrimage is more than just attending the March for Life. High schoolers will encounter Christ and explore some of our nation's history.  On this unique trip, participants will fly to Washington D.C., attend mass with Bishop Lucia, tour the Pontifical John Paul II Institute, enjoy a guided walking tour of the monuments, an evening rally with Chris Stefanick, and of course, the March for Life.

This is open to youth in grades 9-12.

While we are unable to attend the March for Life in Washington D.C. in  2021 we invite you to attend the local Mass for Life and participate in the local March for For Life.


Pro-Life Leadership Conference

Learn simple ways to defend and communicate your pro-life beliefs! The Pro-Life Leadership Conference is more than just a day to learn about pro-life issues, it is a chance to learn how to apply the issues to your life after the conference. Learn how to discuss these difficult conversations with family members and peers and to be confident while doing so.

This is open to youth in grades 9-12.



Good Friday Stations of the Cross 

April 2,  2021

Youth, families, and young adults are invited to join Bishop Lucia in praying the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday evening. Join us at 6:30 pm for a candlelight service at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Syracuse. 


 
Steubenville Summer Conference

July 9-11, 2021  

Steubenville Summer Conference is an annual event for youth entering grades 9-12. At Steubenville, high schoolers experience a life-changing encounter with Christ through the sacraments, music, speakers, and more.

Middle School Summer Pilgrimage to Niagara Falls

 August 14, 2021

Come join the Diocese of Syracuse Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry on a special summer pilgrimage for middle school students!  We will visit Niagara Falls, ride the Maid of the Mist or see the Cave of the Winds, visit a Marian Shrine for Mass, and end the day with pizza and games! 

This event is open to youth entering grades 6 through 8.

NCYC (Biennial Event)

 November 18-21, 2021

The National Catholic Youth Conference is a powerful, biennial, three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers (of high school age) and their adult chaperones.  Join the Syracuse Diocese Delegation and don't miss the powerful talks, informative and inspiring workshops, music, and of course experiencing the sacraments with over 20,000 young Catholics from around the US!  

Youth participants must be a current high school student (grades 9 through 12) at the time of registration.
