The Diocese of Syracuse is committed to offering pastoral and spiritual support to individuals who have experienced sexual misconduct, whether past or present, by a member of the clergy or a diocesan employee or volunteer. This care extends to the individual’s immediate family members and affected faith communities.
The Diocese has designated a Victim Assistance Coordinator to handle all notifications of child sexual abuse allegations. The Coordinator ensures that the alleged victim is promptly informed of their rights and obligations and coordinates timely and appropriate pastoral and spiritual care. This role also includes assisting with the process of reimbursement for mental health and spiritual counseling in accordance with diocesan procedures.
Contact the Diocesan Assistance Coordinator at 315.470.1465 for assistance.
