Safe Environment Week
The Diocese of Syracuse will be celebrating its 4th annual Safe Environment Week November 11 — November 18, 2019. Most Rev. Douglas J. Lucia and the Offices of Safe Environment and Victim Assistance would like to acknowledge and thank the thousands of people across the diocese, in particular our clergy, employees, and volunteers, who are committed to keeping our children, young people and vulnerable adults safe in our parishes, schools, agencies, and in the community at large.
2019 Safe Environment Coloring Contest
To promote this important week, students across the diocese, especially our Catholic School and Faith Formation students, are invited to display their creativity by participating in our coloring contest: #JesusLovesMe.
Students in Grades Pre-K – 6 are invited to choose one of three coloring sheets offered and use their creativity with their choice of crayons, markers, colored pencils, or watercolors.

One coloring submission will win per grade. The winners will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
Submissions are due by Friday, December 13, 2019. Winners will be notified by January 31, 2020.
Winning entries will be recognized in The Catholic Sun and on diocesan social media during National Child Abuse Prevention Month (April 2020).
All physical entries become the property of the Diocese of Syracuse and cannot be returned.
